Before joining the chair, Erwin Winkler was a research associate and Ph.D. candidate at the University of Würzburg. He will become an assistant professor (Akad. Rat auf Zeit) later in this year. During his Ph.D., Erwin Winkler conducted research visits at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and the Wharton School (University of Pennsylvania).
